All Gone!

Good morning all, it has been a while since I posted in my blog, but I will try to post more often, I promise.

Well, it is official, I am now toothless as of this past friday. Yep, got them all pulled. I had 13 left in the front and with the change of life, they had all began to crumble and break. I had no other choice other than to take them all out. I sure did dread doing it but I am now glad I did, and it's over. I will just be so glad now when I can chaw down on some real food again. They have had me on puddings and jello since friday. Now that it is sunday, this old gal is starving!

And would you beleive it, I haven't lost 1 friggin pound in the past couple of days. I figured with eating just pudding and jello that I would loose something but oh no, not my luck!
Oh well, maybe a pound or two will drop off here in a few days.

Just A Little Knit Piddlin!

Here is something I was playing around with last night. I wanted to try something new after working on the sock, just to break the pace a little.

It is from an afghan pattern. It works up like your crochet mile a minute afghan.
I think it would make for a very nice first time scarf. What do you think?

Yeepee, I have finally mastered it, I am knitting!
WooHoo!!!
I have tried more times than I can remember now to knit and just never did get the hang of it. Well, here of late I had this urge to crochet me up a pair of socks.
I frogged sock pattern after sock pattern. All of them just felt so thick and not comfy to my foot AT ALL!
So I did it, I finally MADE myself to do it, I picked up some DPNS and just went at it! I was determined to learn.

After pulling out more times than I care to remember, LOL...
I finally got the hang of it and have done me up one sock so far. I think that all of the frogging and starting over really helped me so much.

I just have the toe to do now.

Adjustable Hidden Ring

"Adjustable Hidden Ring"

Instructions will be under each picture

You can click on all pictures to enlarge view

Loop yarn up to the right over top of forefinger.
Bring yarn down and under the middle finger.
Bring back up to the left over forefinger.
Then bring straight down on the left back
(A BASIC FIGURE 8)

Take your hook and insert it into the figure 8 from the right.... over top of the yarn at the right, and under the yarn at the left.

Yo and pull back through to the right.....being sure to hold loop up against the ring and holding the end yarn with your left hand to maintain tention.

Chain as many chains as you will need here to work in your first round.
EXAMPLE:
If you are going to work this round in sc, then ch 1
If you are going to work this round in hdc, then ch 2
If you are going to work this round in dc, then ch 3
If you are going to work this round in tr, then ch 4

In this Example picture ABOVE,
ch 1 was used in order to work this round in sc.

Crochet as many stitches as your pattern calls for (this example picture ABOVE was done in 16 sc)



Snug the ring closed.



Join with a sl st in the first sc.




TIP:
Lay the end yarn up and over your working yarn, then work the first stitch that is called for in your pattern in round 2 ....
carry the end yarn across the back for a few stitches, crocheting over it as you work this round



After you have completed a few stitchs, the snip the end yarn, and continue working your pattern

Out For A Few Weeks

I just popped in to let everyone know that I and not getting much free time these days to post. I am not going to be back online much for a few more weeks.
I am hoping sooner rather than later, I will be able to get back in here.

I see that my template has lost it's background color again (4 times now).
I am finding that a few others with this template are having the same problem.............
soooo, when I can, I will update my blog to a new template :)

Maybe something for Fall.

I will see you all as soon as I can.

I have been a bad blogger

Yes I have. I have neglected my blog for a long time now. I have been so busy that I just haven't been in here and I do miss blogging with you all. I am gonna try and get back at it in here soon, I promise.

I am going to do a revamp also..........don't think I will have the Monday posts
anymore that are under the sea.
I really want to turn my blog into a full fledged crochet blog. I always say that, but seemed to get side tracked everytime, LOL!

I will try and get started on something new on here next week.........keep checking back, I promise to have some new stuff posted soon :)

LADY: "Last night my computer started making a lot of hissing noise at me so I shut it down. This morning when I turned it on the computer started hissing and cracking,then started smoking and a bad smell, then nothing".


SUPPORT: "I will have a technician come over first thing this morning, just leave the computer just like it is, so they can find the problem and fix it, or change it out with another computer. Give me your address; phone number and the technician will be there just as soon as they can". When the technician got there, the lady showed the technician where the computer was, said what happened to it, this is what the technician found wrong. Take a look at the pictures... you won't believe your eyes!!!!! And you thought you had computer problems !!!















The technician told her: It must have been after the mouse! The woman didn't think it was very funny at all.

Hey There My Blog Buddies

I am here, barely!
My pc went down and I have been working on it this past couple of days here. Just about to get it back up to snuff :)

I have a couple of pics I was gonna post a day or two back, but didn't get the chance to with having the computer probs.
I will more than likely be able to get them on here tomorrow, or Sunday.

I will be gone to my neighbors some tomorrow to help her out. She just lost her hubby of 44 years last night (in the wee hours). He had a stroke a couple of days back and was in the hospital when they lost him. They said he went into a comma and past away around 3am.
It is just so sad, I can't imagine what it would be like to lose my hubby, it's got to be just the the most painful hurt next to that of losing a child.

Keep her in your hearts and prayers everyone.
