Now, On to some crochet and knit talk here :)

I have been working on the baby ghans from the charity board donations and have just recently completed the Pinwheel Afghan. Tonight I began working on a tiny little bear...and will do a mini ginger bread man after the bear. I have 2 afghans in mind that I would like to get started on soon but haven't made up my mind yet as to which one of the two I am gonna do. One of them is a quilt pattern. I have not done a quilt pattern before and it looks like it would most surely take a long time. It's one of those patterns that one does in the evening while setting and watching TV. You can also do this one on the go, the squares would be so easy to do as a travel project.
I might just do both.....the quilt and another one that does up quicker.....I always like that fast completion that gives instant satisfaction over the ones that take a long longer to do. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy making them, but I always seem to get burned out on them long before I ever get finished.
I am also planning for myself a well balanced low fat menu........yep, I need to drop a bunch of pounds over here, LOL..........as hubby says, "A whole bunch"!!! He makes me want to just smack him. He is one of those who doesn't gain a lot of weight, EVER!! Makes me mad everytime I have to give up that extra helping.....and he can get by with eating it, and never gain an ounce. Don't hubbies like that just make you want to Smack Em??? LOL!!
Oh well, I guess it could be worse, I could be even bigger than what I am and have to loose that much more, LOL! Guess there IS always a brighter side to everything :)
you just got to look for it.

Still working on losing a few dozen pounds here.

I would work on both. Like you said you would get some instant gratification on the easy one and maybe that will help keep you form burning out on the one that takes awhile.

Oh my gosh woman!! 1st of all, how many projects do you have going at once?? Second of all, noBODY is perfect and as women we are way too hard on ourselves. We have to learn how to accept ourselves for what and who we are or we will never be happy. A lesson I have to learn as well..........

That is why many times I have two projects going at once and usually one that takes longer & one that will be finished reasonably quick. Of course I'm not counting this poor purple throw that has been sitting here for a yr in March. I'm over half way now ;) Your work is so beautiful.

now your weight is a whole different subject. I have been trying since Feb & only lost 4lbs. But at least it went down & not up. I think my fluid retention is a lot to do with my weight right now. My feet have been really BIG the last couple days. I haven't been up an hr yet & I can feel them swelling. You can do it though and then you can laugh at DH HA so there !!! giggling

My husband and one of my kids are the same way as your husband and it makes me soooooo mad! I've got to lose some wieght also ....
I sure don't want to scare anybody when I open up our pool

Hope you have a GREAT day!

Kathy...I can SO relate on the losing weight....my husband and I both started a low carb diet and he had lost 15 pounds and I lost 3!!!!! I'm not sure where he's at right now but I am FINALLY up to a 7 lb loss right now.

I've lost 4 lbs this month without even doing much. I think the stress with my BIL and the sinus problem have helped in that area. Food just hasn't sounded very good. I guess there's an upside to everything. I just want to keep it up and make myself do some walking too. Hopefully, those of us that are trying to lose some lbs. can support each other and get'er done!

Thank you Melanie :)
No Michele< I haven't .... I am debating just doing a few designs up first.....then get to another ghan after that. I know a couple of things I want to design and that will be what I will probably go after next I guess....then another ghan :)

Oh yea, LOL.... I will probably try and tackle one of those quilt ghans, I think they are so pretty.

I hear ya Jodi, get'er done is key!
I think if I could just put down these Pepsi's, I would be well ahead of the game.Oh yes, and the chocolate :)
I hate to hear that you are still going through that bad sinus flare up. Good thing I guess on the bright side is the lose of a few lbs. though :)

Hey Kat, how do you get that 'fishy' line where your comments go? I'd love to do one like that, just with kitties for mine.
