~~~Have Fun!!~~~
As everyone knows, I have been working for a few days now on joining and finishing out the charity squares. Yesterday I decided to take a break away from them for a day, or 3 :)
I sat here and designed up this little critter coaster. Now to get the time to make a few of them to sell at my etsy shop.
What do you all think, do I need to make any changes in him (or her) anywhere?
Or does he (or she) look ready to go?
Click on pics to enlarge
Now just look at that face, isn't he cute?
and that mouth, LOL!
His little tummy :)
Andrea (better know to most of us as "AJ" ) has designed an oh so cute little Turtle Potholder and has given me the privelege of being able to make them and to sell them on my etsy shop :)
Here is a link to her etsy shop: "Crochet Diva's Shop"
~~ Stop in and see what all she has! ~~
I just had to design up this little "Turtle Coaster" to match it.
She has also given me the privelege of making and selling her little "Sock Monkey Potholder" and her little "Dogbone Potholder".
She is just so talented, and a very sweet lady too :)
That turtle coaster is so cute!
Not real sure about his/her mouth though, but it still is really adorable.
OH yes...I just had to also say that Andrea's turtle potholder is absolutely adorable too!
LOL, on the mouth! I kind of started out to make it a snake :)
then the turtle is what I decided to make, after I got his little head finished
I just think it's so cute!! Love the little tail best!
NewLifestyle said...
Oh that tail is now! The thing is, I'm not quite sure I can remember exactly how I did it :)
I kinda have to agree about the mouth...maybe a smaller...maybe one line instead of 2....
You'll remember...I have no doubt at all!! Just get in 'the zone' and revisit yourself when you were doing it......ohhhhmmmmmm
It's a circle made by sl stitching together ... a cross over on the tummy side, and then tie off. Made the mouth open....but I agree, it is just a tad big.....but that is cute, you have to see in person, It looks more like a fish mouth, LOL!
Ohhhhhmmmmmmmm.......I can see it now....just picture it, a REAL SET OF TURTLE LIPS...........Ohhhhhhmmmmmmmmmm!!!
:)
Turtle lips!!! LOLOLOL
You could always use a smaller sized yarn so it doesn't stand out as much (The pink on the mouth I mean).
Now which AJ are we talking about here? Cause I know an AJ who crochets but this doesn't look like her work. Does she have a blog?
That turtle coaster is probably the cutest thing I've seen in a while. I love it! I'm with a few of the others though . . . maybe a tad bit of a smaller mouth.
Too cute Kathy!!
NewLifestyle said...
Hey everyone, did you miss me? I was out all day.....the longest I have been off of the computer in a while.
I am not sure Kare, I have never known of her to have a blog. I just PM'ed her and ask.........will post when I find out here in comments for you all if she does.
Yea Tara, I too must agree with you all on the lips.........but they are just sooo cute though, you would have to see them in person. We are calling her "Hot Lips Hanna, The Turtle From Savanah".......LOL!
Hot Lips Hannah...I love it!!!
That is one adorable turtle and he has a kissy mouth too. lol! I just got back my internetset up after a longtime due to the move. And this little guy made my day!
I'm sorry I missed your wonderful contest. The yarn is just gorgeous, dreamstuff for someone like me because we don't get such goodies here and have to make do with inferior yarn that is available in the market here. Next time I'll try to make it!
